Mercury Freight was founded by the late Margrit Wolff. Margrit opened her first business, Buffalo Freight Systems in 1998, that became a highly successful logistics business. Margrit sold Buffalo in 2006, but continued to manage it until 2012. That same year, she established Mercury Freight (Pty) Ltd, another successful freight management business. Sadly, in October 2020, Margrit passed away.
Margrit’s service excellence, dedication and reputation in the freight industry lives on in the daily operations at Mercury Freight’s head office, situated in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, South Africa. As Margrit wished, Mercury Freight is a legacy for her grandchildren and remains a successful family owned and family managed freight management business.
